Overseas Infrastructure Alliance India Pvt. Ltd. (OIA) inaugurated a commissioning of one of the largest rehabilitation and expansion project of Africa. As an EPC contractor to the Government of Ethiopia for expanding the present capacity of the Finchaa Sugar Factory from 4400 TCD to 12000 TCD, OIA has completed partial installation of new Milling Tandem with Diffuser, Steam Generation units, Power Generation units with fresh Co-generation capacity & Process House units for expanded capacity. The plant is a public undertaking located in the beautiful valleys of Finchaa, about 350 kilometres from Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. Furthermore, OIA have also expanded the Ethanol plant of 45,000 Litres per day capacity to 110,000 Litres Alcohol productions per day. The new project involves innovative technologies such as a diffuser for Juice Extraction, Co-generation of Power and Ethanol Production.
The ceremony started by performing a traditional Pooja at the factory site followed by a Shagun ceremony.

The expansion of the Finchaa Sugar Factory is expected to add significant EVA to Ethiopia's overall economy.
