Mr. Ambuj Chaturvedi, Executive Director, Overseas Infrastructure Alliance (India) Pvt. Ltd. and Chairman, India Africa Business Promotion Council (IABPC), ASSOCHAM met up with the special envoy members who are assigned to handle the upcoming India Africa Forum Summit (IAFS), scheduled for October 26 - 30this year, at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium located close to the Delhi Secretariat.
The special envoy members have been entrusted by the Prime Minister's Office to personally invite each of the 54 African Heads of States and their respective team of senior officials.
Being the Chairman of IABPC of ASSOCHAM, Mr. Chaturvedi met with some of these envoys to discuss the IAFS agenda and how IABPC can add significant value to the Summit. These envoys include Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of State (MoS) for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, MoSfor Minority Affairs, Shri Manoj Sinha, MoSfor Railways, Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, MoS for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Mahesh Sharma, MoS for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Shri Santosh Gangwar, MoS for Textiles, Parlimentary Affairs, Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation and Shri Sudarshan Bhagat, MoS for Rural Development, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing and Shri Ram Kripal Yadav, Minister of State for Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation.
IABPC of ASSOCHAM represents the voice of industry in Africa and India which works on deliberation, consolidation and exploration of mutually beneficial economic engagement with members who represent industry of both sides and facilitates possible partnerships at bilateral, regional and continental level.
The 3rd IAFS is set to be the largest gathering of foreign leaders in India since the Non Aligned Summit in New Delhi in 1983 and the Commonwealth Summit in the same year.
