Mr. Ambuj Chaturvedi, Executive Director, OIA hasbeen elected as one of the eight members of the Working Committee of Project Exports Promotion Council of India (PEPC) for the year 2016-2017, in the Annual General Meeting conducted in New Delhi.
PEPC is an export promotion council set up by the Government of India in 1984. PEPC, in line with the Foreign Trade Policy of the Government (of India) not only undertakes necessary export promotion initiatives but also provides the required technical information, guidance and support to Indian Civil and Engineering (EPC) construction companies including process engineering contractors and consultants in public or private sector to set up overseas projects.
The other members of the Working Committee include representatives of major Indian project companies such as Gannon Dunkerley & Co. Ltd., KEC International Ltd., Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Limited, Shriram EPC Limited and Thermax Ltd. to name a few.
The Working Committee will collectively conduct the proceedings related to PEPC such as considering and adopting the Annual Report, Auditor's Report and Audited Statement of Accounts and Balance Sheet for the financial year 2015-16, appoint the statutory Auditors for the next financial year and conduct amendments related to rules, regulations and policies of PEPC.
